Alex & Dever and their sweet newborn at home on Maui, Hawaii. I photographed Denver & Alex as a dating couple, their surprise proposal, engagement, and Lanai wedding. Man, we’ve been through a lot together! I was so excited to come over to photograph a lifestyle at-home session with their 5-day old son, Saxton. We spent a few slow hours together where Alex was able to feed Saxton when he was hungry and give him all those newborn snuggles.
My favorite thing about newborn session is that time stands still. There’s no rush to get a particular shot. It’s all about soaking up your new babe while I happen to be there taking photos.
Alex was my very first friend when I moved to Maui when I was just 7 years old. Since that day she’s been one of my closest friends. I know we’ll be 80-years old and still close friends. Watching Alex and Denver seamlessly fit into their role as parents has been such a sweet thing to witness.
